Robert C. Barber, vice president of Interwest Business Equipment, has been installed as president of the Kiwanis Club of Salt Lake City.
Barber replaces Ted R. Capener, vice president and head of university relations at the University of Utah, who will serve Kiwanis this coming year as immediate past president.A Salt Lake City native, Barber has been a member of Kiwanis for 18 years and has held numerous positions with the club, a spokesman said. Barber is also a past or current officer or board member of the Salt Lake Jaycees, Reading Room for the Blind, Utah Opera Society and Cystic Fibrosis Research Association.
Other officers selected to serve with Barber and Capener are Roger F. Cutler, first vice president; Glade K. Jensen, second vice president; James M. Livsey, secretary-treasurer; and Charlotte Zarkou, administrative secretary.
