"The 1989 Utah Scenic Calendar," and "1989 Utah Tour Guide" are two new Utah Travel Council publications.
One of the council's premier periodicals, the calendar features 21 photographs of places like Lake Powell, Arches National Park and the Wasatch Mountains. A photo of Mesa Arch at sunset, taken in Canyonlands National Park, is on the cover.Selections for the calendar, on sale at the travel council in Council Hall on Capitol Hill in Salt Lake City and stores throughout Utah, were chosen from more than 2,000 photos submitted by 78 photographers.
Free at Council Hall, the tour guide contains information on many recreational services. Organized by activity for easy reference, the guide lists aerial tours, backpacking and hiking tours, horseback and riding trips, bicycle tours, 4-wheel drive tours, hunting and fishing ideas, river running and boat cruises, guest ranches and much more.
