A book and drawings by 19th century French poet Charles Baudelaire sold at a Paris auction for a total of $1.6 million, the Druout auction house announced. The National Library bought the book "My Naked Heart" for $350,000 at Salle Druout, the premier French art auction house. Several drawings with China ink and feather issued by Baudelaire were sold to the Orsay Museum. They included "Portrait de Jeanne Duval," sold for $99,000, "A Wife for Asselineau" for $104,000 and another "Jeanne Duval" for $72,000.

Baudelaire, 1821-1867, is known for his collection of poems published as "The Flowers Of Evil" in 1857.
