SHARE UTAH PIZZA SERVICE HONORED FOR CHARITY WORK

Utah Pizza Service, a franchisee of Little Caesars Pizza, has been presented the Utah Issues "Caring in Business" award for its charitable contributions to local non-profit organizations.

Utah Issues is a private, non-profit organization combating poverty in the state, said Executive Director Bill Walsh.The Caring in Business award is given annually to the Utah business that best exemplifies the Utah Issues mission through contributions of money and time to local non-profit organizations.

Utah Pizza Service (U.P.S.) was nominated for the award by Scottie Davis, executive director of Big Brothers/Big Sisters of Utah, who wrote a 30-page proposal on behalf of U.P.S. Other organizations U.P.S. has helped also submitted letters outlining the company's contributions.

Past recipients of the award include Mountain Bell and Intermountain Health Care.

Utah Pizza Service sponsored the Big Brothers/Big Sisters 1987 Bowl-a-thon, raising more than $15,000. The franchise also raised more than 70,000 pounds of food for Utah's hungry during the 1987 Christmas season for its annual Hungry Hearts food collection and distribution program. And U.P.S. recently passed the $50,000 mark in contributions to the March of Dimes.
