SHARE 1ST INTERSTATE BRANCH ROBBED

The Foothill branch of First Interstate Bank was robbed Friday morning.

A man entered the bank, 1324 S. Foothill Drive, about 11:45 a.m. and handed a robbery note to the teller, said Salt Lake Police Sgt. Bill Abbott. The note indicated that the bandit had a gun, but no gun was seen.After being given a little cash, he told the teller, "Remember, I've got a gun," then fled, Abbott said.

Witnesses described the bandit as in his early 50s, about 5 feet 8 inches tall, about 145 pounds. He had a light complexion and wore a light-gray jacket and light-colored trousers.
