A Utah federal grand jury Friday indicted a U.S. Postal Service employee on charges of stealing money from the mail.
The indictment alleged Lynn Thomas Payne, Ogden, a Postal Service letter carrier, took the money last spring from mail he was supposed to deliver to Weber County residents."In both cases, the amount of money was very small," said federal prosecutor C. William Ryan. "But theft of U.S. mail is a felony."
