A member of the International Olympic Committee's medical commission says British sprinter Linford Christie tested positively for a banned substance after the 100 meters final as well as the 200 meters final at Seoul.
Professor Arnold Beckett, who heads Chelsea College in London, one of the world's leading drug-testing labatories, said he re-tested Christie's 100 meters sample after traces of psuedo-ephedrine were found in the sprinter's 200-meters sample. Beckett said he "found that there were traces there too."Christie is lucky to be given the benefit of the doubt and not be stripped of his medal."
