KZAN (FM-97.9) switched formats last month, going from country music to "rock 'n' roll favorites."
The Ogden-based station has a strong signal that reaches from Logan into Utah County.KZAN is promising to play at least 50 minutes of music every hour by grouping many of its commercials together in large groups.

In contrast, the number of stations that play "oldies" music or rock 'n' favorites is at an all-time high, and this trend is making many stations, especially those on the AM dial, sound almost identical.
