Surety Life Insurance Co. has elected P. Thomas Chester president and Eugene H. Boe senior vice president of marketing and a member of the board of directors.
Surety Life, based in Salt Lake City, is a wholly owned subsidiary of Allstate Life Insurance Co., which is owned by Sears, Roebuck and Co.Chester joined Surety Life in 1980 as director of the Ohio region and was promoted to senior vice president of marketing and to the board of directors in 1984.
He started his insurance career in 1971 as a student at Ohio State University. He holds a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering.
Chester has received the National Quality Award, National Sales Achievement Award and was a member of the National Association of Life Underwriters for 11 years. He has qualified as a member of the Million Dollar Round Table for six consecutive years.
Boe has been territorial sales manager in Seattle, Wash., for Allstate. He has worked for Allstate for 27 years, holding numerous management positions. Boe is a graduate from Seattle University.
Surety Life estimates insurance-in-force will reach $9 billion by year-end 1988 and revenues will be $100 million. The company was ranked as the fastest growing straight life company in the United States for 1986 by Best's Review, September 1987 issue.
