The Rev. Jim Stanford and his wife, Beverly, are finishing 15 years of work at the Ogden Rescue Mission.
The couple has seen many changes take place. Construction for the new chapel was recently completed, along with a day room where transients can stay during cold weather.The mission also recently opened a free medical clinic for Ogden's transient, homeless and indigent population.
In preparing for their departure in early November, they held a chapel dedication Oct. 15.
The Stanfords will attend their last annual Ogden Rescue Mission banquet Oct. 28 at First Presbyterian Church in Ogden. The Rev. Jim Taylor will speak there. Taylor is the director of the Fresno, Calif., Rescue Mission.
They will be replaced by the Rev. Howard Langston, Modesto, Calif. He has been at the mission since May.
