SHARE TRAFFIC CHARGES FILED

A Washington County road department employee faces an Oct. 27 arraignment on a failure-to-yield charge in connection with a traffic accident that killed a southern Utah woman.

Donald Arlo McArthur, 44, St. George, is charged with the misdemeanor violation involving the Aug. 17 collision of a passenger car with a front-end loader he was driving.Sharon Snow, 31, Shivwits, suffered fatal internal injuries in the crash on U.S. 91, about one mile west of Ivins.

Also charged with traffic violations in the accident is the woman's husband, Angus Anthony Snow, 33.

Angus Snow has entered innocent pleas to charges of driving with a suspended license and speeding. His 5th Circuit Court trial is set for Dec. 9.

Utah Highway Patrol investigators said McArthur was moving dirt across the highway, and pulled out into the road in front of the southbound passenger car, which had been hidden from view behind a dip in the road.

Angus Snow, who was driving the car, suffered a broken arm and head injuries. McArthur was not injured.
