A White House spokesman Monday denied that former Philippines President Ferdinand Marcos made multimillion-dollar contributions to President Reagan's 1980 and 1984 election campaigns. Marlin Fitzwater told reporters, "This is an old story put out many times. He (Reagan) has never received money from Marcos." Fitzwater said that such allegations of contributions by Marcos had been made in reference to the campaigns of former President Jimmy Carter and many other prominent office seekers. "All were investigated" and proved to be untrue, Fitzwater said.
