A Utah County man was killed and three other men were injured Monday afternoon in a two-car collision on U-214 in north Spanish Fork.

Albert G. Urbanik, 21, 277 S. Seventh East, was pronounced dead at Mountain View Hospital shortly after the 1 p.m. accident. Urbanik turned onto U-214 from Center Street and struck an eastbound vehicle driven by Stephen Higgs, 19, Price, a Utah Highway Patrol dispatcher said.Higgs suffered a broken clavicle and several contusions. A passenger in his vehicle, Lance Larsen, 18, Price, also suffered contusions. Both men were treated at Mountain View Hospital.

A passenger in Urbanik's vehicle, Daryl Paxton, 21, address unavailable, suffered minor injuries.

The Highway Patrol said Urbanik was not wearing a safety belt. Higgs and Larsen likely would have been killed had they not been wearing safety belts.

The accident is still under investigation.
