A $1,000 reward is going to a St. George man for a referral he made resulting in the relocation of a new business that brought 120 new jobs to the area.

Delmar Gott, a retired librarian at Dixie College, made the referral to Utah Small Cities Inc., an organization involved with a statewide economic development effort geared to attracting new businesses to rural areas of the state. The group offers $1,000 rewards to persons whose referrals result in the relocation of a business to one of the participating cities. The business must create at least 25 new jobs in a goods producing business.Gott's referral resulted in the organization working with Everex Corp. and a decision by that company to relocate in St. George.
