SHARE SUSPECT PLEADS NO CONTEST IN SLAYING

Roger Eugene Penman, one of two men accused of killing a Midvale storage unit manager a year ago, pleaded no contest Friday to a reduced homicide charge.

Penman, 26, also pleaded guilty to a second-degree-felony count of robbery inconnection with the break-in at the storage unit, 111 S. Allen St., and the death of Spencer Nielson, 53, who was shot with a 20-gauge shotgun.Third District Judge John Rokich scheduled sentencing for Nov.28.

A second defendant, Wendell Devon Baer, 30, remains at large.
