Ray Combs, the new host of TV's revived "Family Feud" game show, will be in Provo Friday and Saturday to appear at the annual Homecoming festivities at Brigham Young University, in the Marriott Center.
BYU's Homecoming Spectacular begins at 8 p.m. Oct. 7 and 8, and tickets are available through the Marriott ticket office, 378-5666.Combs, a 32-year-old stand-up comedian and former Indiana furniture salesman, is LDS and a father of five. His career got a boost a few years ago with the help of fellow Indiana native David Letterman, host of NBC's "Late Night."
Among the other performers will be:
- The Tennessee River Boys, who were at Homecoming two years ago. They'll come from their performing base in Nashville.
- The Jensen sisters, Wendee, Margo and Kimberly, all BYU graduates, who recently made their debut album.
- James Arrington, a Utah actor known for his one-man shows, who'll appear in the persona of Brigham Young to entertain and help emcee the show.
- BYU's American Folk Dancers, directed by Ed Austin, who will offer a suite of Utah folk dances. They recently danced at the Olympics in Seoul.
