Oct. 3-7 has been designated "Share a Song" week by Gov. Norm Bangerter, and the Bountiful Chapter of Sweet Adelines Inc. will celebrate the organization's 48th birthday with a complimentary performance at West High School at 7 p.m. Oct. 4.
This performance will preview songs the Adelines will be performing Oct. 14 at the International Competition in Houston, Texas.Sweet Adelines have 32,000 members worldwide.
The Bountiful chapter has the current Region 8 Championship Chorus, directed by Tori Postma and assistant director, Kathy Ashby. Winners of 12 regional (five-state) championships, the group also features a quartet, the "Rainbow Collection," that placed 16th out of 50 places in Hawaii last year. The quartet is comprised of Janette Burr, Lynda Mills, Cathy Yorgason and Tori Posta.
