SHARE U-24 CRASH HOSPITALIZES 2 WOMEN

Two Colorado women remained hospitalized Monday from injuries they received Saturday when the car they were riding in slammed into a trailer carrying a boat.

Kimberly Kay Denton, 20, Grand Junction, and and Jalynn Martin, 18, Ticaboo, were injured about 4 p.m. Saturday on U-24 about halfway between I-70 and Hanksville.According to a Utah Highway Patrol dispatcher, the Denton car struck the trailer and boat being towed by Horace Orchard, 77, Grand Junction. Denton was flown to St. Mary's Hospital in Grand Junction where she was in critical condition Monday, and Martin was flown to University Hospital in Salt Lake City with a broken neck. Martin was in serious condition Monday. Orchard was not injured.
