Southern Utah will meet Paris, France, next summer if Delta High School students have their way. The school's A Cappella Choir has been invited to officially represent Utah in an American Salute to France, on July 2, as a feature of the French Bicentennial.
The young singers are preparing for a formal concert, and performances around the city, including Notre Dame Cathedral. They will return home via England.Former Gov. and Mrs. Scott M. Matheson have agreed to be honorary chairpersons of the Delta A Cappella Finance Committee, seeking to raise statewide the $200,000 needed for the nine-day trip.
