Two Colorado men are in the custody of the U.S. Secret Service in Salt Lake City after they were arrested and charged with possession of counterfeit money. The charges said some $10,480 of counterfeit money was found in their possession.
Jeffrey Glen Lundquist, 29, and Timothy Allen Cockrell, 29, both of Aurora, Colo., were arrested by a part-time Sevier County sheriff's deputy.Officer Phil Barney said he stopped the vehicle because it didn't have a front license plate and was traveling 15 miles over the speed limit.
The officer said he noticed money falling out of a shaving kit that was in the front seat. He became suspicious and noticed the money, which was in $20 bills, felt different than normal currency.
