Communist Party chief Stipe Suvar has announced a plan to overhaul the party leadership, perhaps replacing up to one-third of the 165-member Central Committee.
Suvar said on Sarajevo television Tuesday night that the ruling Presidium would propose the changes to the Central Committee, which is to hold a crucial session on Oct. 17."Very soon new people will be brought into the Central Committee of the League of Communists and its presidium," Suvar said, according to a dispatch from the official Tanjug news agency.
