Two men have been charged in connection with the shooting death last summer of a Holladay man in Jordan Park.
Jacob Timothy Martinez, 20, was charged with second-degree murder, and Mario Linn Fraga, 24, was charged with robbery in the death of Gordon Lee Winslow, 46, who was shot in the side with a .22-caliber revolver the morning of July 10.Winslow was shot while in a van parked between a playground and the International Peace Gardens in Jordan Park, 1000 S. Ninth West. After several shots were fired, witnesses said, Winslow attempted to drive his van out of the park and crashed into a fence.
When police arrived, Winslow said he didn't know who shot him or why. He died a short time later at LDS Hospital.
Martinez remained in the Salt Lake County Jail Thursday in lieu of $100,000 bail. A warrant has been issued for Fraga's arrest.
