Carlyle Harmon, former chairman of the board for the Eyring Research Institute, will speak Oct. 13 at Brigham Young University.
Harmon, 83, will discuss his 60-year career as a chemical engineer and will provide examples of scientific development in the engineering field as part of the School of Management's Executive Lecture Series at 2 p.m. and 4 p.m. in 710 Tanner Building.Harmon directed the efforts of the Eyring Research Institute from 1973 to 1986 and has been issued 37 patents in the United States with corresponding patents abroad.
