Brigham Young University wide receiver Chuck Cutler and Wyoming strong safety Rich Miller were named Western Athletic Conference offensive and defensive players of the week Monday, respectively.
Cutler, a senior from Draper, Utah, caught 10 passes for 142 yards and two touchdowns in the Cougars' 65-0 rout of New Mexico on Saturday. The 6-foot-2-inch, 190-pound Cutler also tied an NCAA record by catching a touchdown pass in his eighth consecutive game.Cutler has caught 46 passes for 723 yards this season and leads the WAC with 10 touchdown receptions.
Miller, a senior from Lakewood, Colo., had five tackles, intercepted a pass and recovered a fumble Saturday in the Cowboys' 48-14 victory over Colorado State.
