The latest scam to get folks' credit card numbers comes under the guise of a credit check.

The Utah Division of Consumer Protection is warning Utahns to be wary of phone calls from people claiming to represent the Salt Lake Credit Card Bureau or the Credit Card Bureau of Salt Lake City.Utahns have received a rash of such phone calls recently, usually in the early morning hours. The callers request credit-card numbers and expiration dates, saying they represent a credit bureau.
