A Salt Lake woman who accepted a ride from a stranger early Sunday was sexually abused, according to a police report.

The woman, 23, told police whe was walking in the area of Sixth South and Second East about 2 a.m. when a man stopped and offered her a ride. Instead of taking her home, though, the man drove into the upper Avenues, parked his car and sexually abused her.

He then drove her to Trolley Square, where he released her, the report said.
