HERE KITTY, KITTY, KITTY

Two animal-control officers from Sandy and a Division of Wildlife Resources officer were called Tuesday to help West Jordan Police catch a cougar that climbed into a window well in West Jordan. The officers sneaked up on the cougar and shot it with a tranquilizer gun. The officers then threw a net over the window well and hauled the cougar out. The cougar was then given a ride back to the Oquirrh Mountains. Police Lt. Ken McGuire said the cat is probably the same one that has been trapped in both West Jordan and South Jordan. It was first seen Tuesday morning by a construction worker who warned several women out for a walk. The cougar then sat under a porch at 5124 W. Parr Drive before slinking into the window well. Before the cat was put on the truck, the tranquilizer wore off, and the officers and the couger had a brief wrestling match.
