A maintenance company accused county officials of using more toilet paper than they had ordered and removed every roll from more than 100 restrooms at the courthouse.

"I already gave them too much," said Linda Ellis, co-owner of Ellis Maintenance. "I put it in in good faith. Their allotment does not call for any more. I am not putting it in free of charge."The company claims Los Angeles County ran up $100,000 in bills by using more paper products than its contract calls for. Crews Thursday night removed all the toilet paper from the bathrooms used by courthouse employees, judges, lawyers, jurors, prisoners and visitors.

Hip Lui, the county's chief of contract services, says the agreement with the maintenance company calls for all supplies needed.

Kem Wellcome, the county's deputy director of facilities operations services, said the company could lose its contract over the dispute.
