The high-school coach of former Texas A&M football player George Smith, who also employed the player over the summer, said Smith asked him not to discuss Smith's dealings with the Aggies football program, a Dallas newspaper reported Saturday.

The Dallas Morning News reported that Larry Wilson told another newspaper - the Bryan-College Station Eagle - last week that Smith had contacted him and asked that he "not talk to anybody."The newspaper reported last Wednesday that Wilson said he overheard Smith threatening to expose Texas A&M violations if the school's coaches did not send him money.

Smith last month told the newspaper that he was paid $4,400 in "hush money" from Sherrill not to talk to the NCAA about violations while the agency was investigating the school. The same story said Smith received about $10,000 in cash, gifts and illegal transportation during his playing days.
