Former Detroit Tiger Bill Freehan had no sooner moved his family into a new $200,000 home when a fire destroyed the three-story house.

"He was kind of disgusted," Doug Carver, fire chief for the Resort-Bear Creek Townships Fire Department, said Saturday of Freehan. "This beautiful house. Never got a chance to live in it."No injuries were reported in the Friday night fire at the Freehan home on Walloon Lake in Emmet County's Resort Township, officials said.
