Officers of the Provo Police Special Investigative Services Bureau (SISB) are wrapping up narcotics investigations that have been going on for the past 10 months, according to a police report released Dec. 9.

Forty-five adults and four juveniles are facing charges.The suspects are being charged with 58 felony counts and 23 misdemeanor charges for a total of 81 charges being filed. Sixty-eight of the charges refer to narcotics and 13 are for other violations.

During the course of the operation, the police department seized more than $29,000 in street drugs. Stolen property valued at nearly $1,000 was also recovered. The types of drugs that were confiscated are cocaine, marijuana, LSD and hashish. Most of the violations involved marijuana and cocaine.

Twenty-eight of the people being charged have had previous drug arrests.

Officers from SISB are continuing other drug investigations in an on-going program to arrest narcotics offenders.
