A variety of power tools and a wheel puller valued at $1,850 have been donated to the diesel and collision repair departments at Utah Valley Community College by the national company Snap-on Tools.

The donation is a result of two UVCC students, Kelvyn Blackhurst, diesel and Rondo Biggs, collision repair, winning gold medals at the National Vocational and Industrial Clubs of America contest held in Wichita, Kan., last June.Mark Krystyniak, Denver industrial field manager, and Marty McKeever, industrial sales representative for Snap-on Tools, made the presentation.

Krystyniak said, "It's very unusual to have two gold medal winners at one school. Most schools feel lucky just to have one. This is a tribute to the quality of the program here at Utah Valley Community College."
