John Brian Johnson, a resident of Midway, Calif., who was indicted by a federal grand jury in August, has been sentenced to five years in prison and fined $2,000 for cocaine crimes.

Johnson was an electrical contractor who employed 40 people before he got mixed up in drugs, said the prosecutor, Assistant U.S. Attorney Richard Lambert. The defendant was charged along with Toni Marie Kordich, also a Californian, with distributing cocaine and possessing cocaine with the intention of distributing it.The indictment charges that these crimes happened Aug. 13 in Utah.
