Guerrillas ambushed a government truck in central Nicaragua, killing one man and injuring another, state-run Voice of Nicaragua reported.

Also Tuesday, the official newspaper Barricada said a girl was killed and three other civilians injured during a rebel attack on Sunday.Rebels ambushed the Agriculture and Agrarian Reform Ministry truck early Monday about 43 miles east of Managua in Chontales province, the Voice of Nicaragua said. Barricada provided no details on the attack in Puerto Esperanza, which is about 110 miles east of Managua in Zelaya province.
