Canoeing and other boating activities on the Jordan River are being discouraged by the Utah Division of Parks and Recreation until maintenance on the river's banks, bridges and trestles is resumed in June 1989.

Restrooms along the river and at the Jordan River par-three golf course have also been closed for the winter. However, the radio-controlled model port, located at 2300 N. Rose Park Lane, will remain open all winter.Hours for the model port are 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily. Fee is $2 per pilot per day. Spectators can watch free of charge.
