Vietnam turned over the remains Thursday of 38 people believed to be American servicemen missing in action in Vietnam - the biggest repatriation so far, a U.S. military spokesman said. "The U.S. government appeciates the initiative taken by Vietnam to repatriate these remains and hopes to continue the increasing cooperation to resolve this longstanding humanitarian issue," said Lt. Col. Thomas J. Boyd, spokesman for the U.S. Pacific Command. The remains were presented to a U.S. military delegation in a ceremony at Hanoi's Noi Bai airport and placed in flag-covered caskets aboard a U.S. Air Force C-141 cargo jet bound for Hawaii, Boyd said.
