Michael H. Davis, a Utah State University graduate, has been selected as the next president of The Wyatt Co., an independent benefits and compensation firm, by the board of directors, according to V. Clark Beaird, president and chief executive officer.

Davis, who lives in Weston, Mass., is the chief financial officer and treasurer for Wyatt and will become president next July when Beaird, who has been president since July 1987, retires.The Wyatt Co. has 2,800 employees in 28 cities around the world and revenues in the current fiscal year will exceed $350 million, ranking it among the 15 largest consulting firms in the world. Wyatt is a privately-held company and all of its stock is owned by the employees.

Davis joined Wyatt in 1958 as a consultant in the Washington, D.C., office, served as manager of the Boston office and was chairman of the Compensation Practice Committee from 1982-86. He received a law degree from the George Washington University School of Law and was elevated to his present position in July 1987.
