SHEEP AND WOOL GROUPS TO VOTE ON MERGER

Sheep producers from across the nation will decide Jan. 20 or 21 whether to merge the National Wool Growers Association and the American Sheep Producers Council.

The decision will be made at the annual meetings of the two groups during the American Sheep Industry Convention in Las Vegas, Jan. 18-21.The American Sheep Industry Association has been suggested as a name for the new organization, which will function as the two other groups have in trying to develop markets for lamb and wool, provide producer services and government relations.
