Despite calls by gang members for a holiday truce, authorities Monday reported four people killed and 13 others wounded in yet another weekend of gang violence in the Los Angeles area.

In the last of the weekend gang killings, an unidentified 15-year-old boy walking down a sidewalk in Hawaiian Gardens was fatally wounded about 8:30 p.m. Sunday by a shotgun blast fired by one of five men in a slow-moving sedan, Deputy Dan Cox said.Homicide detectives believed the shooting was gang-related, Cox said. No suspects had been arrested by early Monday.

Also killed over the weekend was a teenager hit by a stray bullet in a mall filled with Christmas shoppers. Three gang members were arrested early Sunday in the shooting.
