Pakistani Prime Minister Benazir Bhutto and Indian leader Rajiv Gandhi were named Monday among the 22 "most elegant people in the world," organizers of a Paris-based survey said.

The ceremony was being held at the Louvre museum to recognize the 22, who the organizers said were selected on the basis of their "lifestyle and works."

In addition to Gandhi, the most elegant men were American actor Robert Wagner; businessmen Francois Archiguille of Switzerland and Carlo Giacomo of Italy; designers Rocco Barocco of Italy and Louis Feraud of France; British actor Rupert Everett; French filmmakers Claude Lellouch and Claude Montana; Italian actor Nino Manfredi and Orlane Perfumes President Claude Ury.
