Kenex Systems Inc., a Salt Lake-based company developing computer systems for graphic arts companies, has been named to Inc. 500 magazine's 1988 list of fastest-growing companies in the United States.

Based on sales growth and profit from 1983-87, the company ranked 129th on the list out of the 17,000 companies considered. The award is based on sales growth and profit from 1983-87.Founded in 1981 by Gary W. Millet and Dennis R. Johnson, Kenex was started with an initial investment of $30,000 in personal funds. In the past five years, sales at Kenex have increased 1,991 percent.

Millet, company president, said the Kenex ProfiTRAK system, on line in middle- and large-color shops across the United States and Canada, is the only comprehensive business computer system specifically designed for pre-press houses and color separators.
