The Salt Lake City Community Affairs Office is accepting applications for neighborhood self-help grants to help fund neighborhood projects, a prepared release said.
The grant program "is designed to assist neighborhood and community groups with projects that will enhance the physical and social environment of a neighborhood," the release said.Neighborhoods have used past grants to produce a multi-lingual newsletter for the New Hope Cultural Center and add an etched-glass window to a fire station in the Greater Avenues area, the release said.

Applications must be submitted to the Community Affairs office in City Hall, 324 S. State, by Feb. 15, 1989.
