Initial training for people seeking a private pilot's license will be offered by the Southern Utah State College Division of Continuing Education.

The first class in the private pilot ground school course will be at 6:30 p.m. Jan. 4 in Room 113 of the SUSC Industrial Education Building.Three-hour class sessions are scheduled once each week for 12 weeks. "The meeting schedule for the class will be arranged to be most convenient for participants," said Phillip C. Carter, SUSC associate provost for academic programs.

Since the program is being offered on a self-supporting basis, a minimum enrollment will be required. Fee is $165 per student. This is the first time in several years that the course has been offered by SUSC.
