Senior adults at the Northwest Multipurpose Center, 1300 W. Third North, are appealing to the community to donate clothing and food for homeless families.
Two truck loads of personal essentials like towels, combs, soap, toothpaste, toothbrushes and clothing have been gathered. Food donations will go to Jennie Dudley 3340 S. 7450 West, Magna, for the weekly Sunday brunch and holiday meals for the homeless.The Northwest Site Council expects a good response, according to Sam McBride, council president and program specialist for the Salt Lake County Aging Services.
The first delivery was made last week to the Salt Lake Community Shelter and Resource Center. The next delivery will be made Dec. 23.
