Police continue to seek information about a Spanish Fork woman who disappeared in July and her boyfriend, who sold her belongings and left town in October.
Peggy Ellsworth, 28, was employed at the Trojan Corp., Spanish Fork, before her disappearance. Employees told investigators that Ellsworth's live-in boyfriend, Mike G. Kufrin, 32, called for two days before her disappearance and said she was ill. When employees became suspicious and called police, Kufrin told authorities Ellsworth had left town with a girlfriend.
Spanish Fork Police Detective Carl Johnson said police are looking for Kufrin, who also is being sought on charges of vehicle theft and theft of firearms.
Ellsworth was last seen at a party July 9, where, according to friends, Kufrin reacted to her behavior with jealousy.
Ellsworth is described as 5 feet 4 inches tall, 100 pounds and with blond hair. Kufrin is 5 feet 8 inches tall, 185 pounds and with light brown hair. On his right forearm, Kufrin has a tattoo of a heart pierced by a dagger.
Johnson said Kufrin disappeared after being questioned numerous times by police. Authorities hope the public can provide the next lead on where to look for Kufrin or Ellsworth.
"We've tapped out every means that we've had to find out where she is," he said.
