A Los Angeles man has been charged with aggravated robbery, escape and theft in connection with an incident in which a man escaped from police custody and commandeered a car from a woman in a hospital parking area.

Anhtuan Phu Pham, 22, is charged with aggravated robbery, escape, robbery, burglary and theft in two separate complaints filed Wednesday in 3rd Circuit Court.Pham was arrested last Sunday by Murray police in connection with the armed robbery of a 7-Eleven store at 5250 S. State. The complaint says Pham entered the store 7-Eleven with a shotgun and ordered the attendant to lie on the floor. A small amount of cash and the clerk's wallet were stolen.

Pham was arrested about an hour after the armed robbery. He was taken to Cottonwood Hospital for treatment of a bullet wound suffered in an incident not related to the Murray arrest, Sgt. Bill Brusik said.

A second complaint charges Pham with escape, robbing a woman and stealing her car, and burglary. A suspect led police on a high-speed chase through Utah and Millard counties before being arrested.
