Routes built to access water rights and mining claims within the wilderness boundary are being illegally used for hunting, nature watching and scenic driving. In wilderness areas, activities involving motorized or mechanized vehicles are prohibited."We are trying to increase the awareness of our forest users in wilderness ethics. There have been many people unaware of the uniqueness of this wilderness," Tidwell said. "It concerns us that many people have been disregarding the regulations established to protect these lands."
