The Great Books Foundation, a Chicago-based non-profit foundation, will hold a training course in Farmington on Jan. 11 and 12.

The training course prepares teachers, volunteers, librarians and school administrators to lead junior reading and discussion groups. The course is also open to those who plan to lead adult reading and discussion groups in their communities.The program is designed to teach students how to interpret what they read. The training course will be taught by a foundation instructor. Both sessions are scheduled for 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Davis School District administration building, 45 E. State Street.
