Syracuse University will not take any disciplinary action against star basketball player Derrick Coleman until a court settles whether Coleman is guilty of criminal mischief and harassment, a university spokesman said.

The school's decision means the 6-foot-9 junior can continue playing for Syracuse, which is 11-0 and ranked third in the nation, said Robert Hill, the university's vice president of public relations.Coleman pleaded innocent Wednesday to charges of fourth-degree criminal mischief and harassment in connection with a Dec. 11 brawl and break-in.
