Susan and Shaun McMillin thought the loss of a purse containing $1,250 in cash would mean a bleak Christmas, but a good Samaritan returned the purse and all the money.
And the woman who found the purse in the street near the McMillins' home refused to give her name or to accept a reward."I couldn't believe it," Mrs. McMillin said. "She brought my purse back to me and every cent was in there. She even apologized for going through my purse to find some identification."

"Christmas would have been ruined," said Mrs. McMillin, who had lost the purse while taking money from her husband's business to a bank. "My husband was already talking about taking back my presents."
